ATG Club Trip (whitewater rafting, camping, rappelling)

Club trip will be 10-11 September. Rafting on the Lower Youghiogheny River and rappelling/rock climbing in the vicinity of Ohiopyle State Park, PA. Cost will be approximately $40 for two days of fun and adventure. You will need to put down a deposit to hold your place on this trip as we need to book the rafting in advance. More to follow later.

This will be an absolutely awesome trip!

Where do we send the deposit?

Here are the long awaited details for the ATGSC Trip 10-11 September 2011:

-We will be rafting the Lower Youghiogheny River (class III/IV) in Ohiopyle State Park, PA on 10 Sept. Camping will be near to the takeout. On 11 Sept, we will travel approximately 31mi. to Cooper's Rock State Forest, WV for rock climbing/rappelling.

-The price of the trip is $40.00. THIS TRIP IS BY RESERVATION ONLY! YOU MUST PAY A NON-REFUNDABLE $20.00 DEPOSIT TO ATG BY CLOSE OF BUSINESS ON 25 AUGUST!!!

-The trip fee covers rafting, rock climbing/rappelling and camping. Food and beverages are the responsibility of the individual. No alcoholic beverages while rafting or rock climbing.

-We will be departing ATG at 0700 on Saturday 10 September. We have to arrive at the river at a specific time per our reservations. Please arrive a bit early so we can get the transport situation straight. We will be carpooling. Please remember we leave at 0700 SHARP!

-We will be returning to ATG on Sunday evening 11 September at an unspecified time.

-Please bring the appropriate clothing for the activities you will be participating in. All rock climbing/rappelling and rafting gear will be provided. Camping gear is to be supplied by the individual. If you need something, please contact ATG staff....we may or may not be able to provide the gear.

This is an addendum to the information that put out 8 Aug regarding the ATGSC trip on 10-11 Sept.

-Rafting will be on 10 Sept. Rappelling will be on 11 Sept.

-The emphasis of the second day's activities will be rappelling, with a bit of rock climbing thrown in as well.

-All gear for rafting and rappelling will be provided.

-This is an adults only trip. You must be 18 to participate. Club members may bring multiple guests.

-Scot Loveland will be contacting all members who have signed up for the trip regarding their choice of water craft for rafting.
